Reading completes the journey...

Several it may seem as we are missing something. Picking up a book opens up all the vast dimensions we have never ever even thought of. Fairy tales are just one part of fiction that helps to explore a whole new world of imaginations. Yet once you read a book, the realization always creep in of how we would have been incomplete without the wonderful book.

This picture was taken during my trip to Mashobra, a hill station an hour drive ahead of Shimla.
The view from my room was breathtaking (and breathtaking is an understatement) 

The view of morning rising sun, rain, clouds racing to other end of valley, thunder lighting and rainbows and moon (not in that order ofcourse!) made this one of the most perfect vacations I have had ever had!

One perfect date with Pizza and Photography

Pizza has always been my love. So when my friend planned to take ahead his passion for portraits and grace the opportunity to photograph people in their passions and obsessions I stepped in with a challenge for him to portray me with my love for veggies, especially olives and that crunchy pizza base oozing with cheese and the perfect flavor of the herbs.

Slice of Italy: Personal experience

 Here I am .. Its been a good day .. Weekday's first day after the

weekend !!! Yeah Monday !! The day kick started off with amazing time

along with friends... And of course since Diwali is right here - the

home cleaning and snapping out the old stuff and throwing it away had

begun at my place already .. Luckily I found my notebook on

photography that I had made in 2005 while learning the course at Bal

Bhawan ... It was all spoiled up with water spill .. But its a good

feeling to be able to find something after so long ... Anyways ... I

am typing this on my blackberry while sitting at a new place and all

alone .. I am at the slice of Italy ... Sakshi dropped me

here since she had to visit her uncle ... I had planned to go to pizza

hut to eat the salad but the weekend hangover of laziness was still on

Dreams that don't let you sleep : Personal Note

Its like you were lost all your life.. 

And then comes a dream that just doesn't let you sleep.. 

It's one of those dreams I am living in..yes.. The one that truly inspires you to do something worthwhile in your life :)

Books vs. Relationships : Personal Note

A book does hell of a better job than being in a relationship.. 

If nothing else.. It actually does keep you smiling and makes you want to wake up all night just to be by the side exploring till the very last page.. and skipping nights for it.. ! is actually worth it ! 

For anyone who knows me.. knows how much I love books..

There is a reason why when anyone is talking about something they saw on TV, I have a completely blank face about what is being talked about... Or  for that matter even the new song, or the cute actor out there..

Music for me is not the utmost essential but dancing is my best stress buster !
I am ditching long walks these days and completely replacing them with books.

Oh ! and yes ! I can do a couple of shoots for some nice book sets ;)
I am that hopeless !

Ask for Permission - A confusion for Photographer

Ask for permission ?
Alright.. So I have this question in my head for really long ...
And I just don't wish to ask it from google !
(With a lot of pros and cons for both aspects)

Q. Does one need permission from a person before taking their photograph ?
-If yes.. Then how do all the images all over the world of strangers hold the
copyright solely of the photographer (or painter for that matter)
-If not.. Then why ?

P.s. I obviously don't go to each and every person to seek for their permission
before releasing the shutter .. I do make sure that it doesn't harm their interest
in any manner.. But sometimes I question myself would my level of acceptance
of interest would match theirs ?

The Earth Hour: I don't support it- Don't get me wrong

Enjoying a candle light dinner on March 27th, The Earth Hour from 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. won't be a very healthy idea. Oh, Oh ! There is nothing bad happening in the environment...Till you burn a Candle. Yes, Earth Hour is a step towards the concern of Global Warming and who would love to burn the oxygen of millions of houses of more than 1,400 cities and 80 countries...!

Woopie ..!! Imagine the oxygen burning in every individual house of a country..

Do you still call it a speed breaker when you yourself are adding smoke through the fire,..! All of us are aware of the harmful green House Gas omissions... Can't it be just one hour where we cut all the sources?? Just that one hour??

Photographs touch a Dream..

Just when we thought our all girl's holiday at Naukuchiyatal (Near Nainital) would be over the next morning when we would take up our train back to Delhi, on our ride back from the village mela visit to resort, we witnessed the most stunning sunset that took our breath away. There is always something magical and unique you come across when you travel to a new place.
Our local driver was telling us about the strange light he sometimes sees on his back home as he walks from the jungle. I won't elaborate the stories since they were ghost stories and I wanted to sleep in peace at night to be prepared for a journey back home. This particular photograph carries some stories and  ofcourse the breath taking view!

Winter Rain And Dad's Kahawa

Kaashmiri Kaahwa (Kashmiri Kahawa, kehwa, kahwa, qehwa) is my absolute favorite ! I am a Rain lover no matter when it rains.. ! My dad is a kashmiri culture lover... and a nature lover too.. he becomes absolutely adorable when the mercury drops down along with the rain and prepares this one very delightful elixir that eases all the senses and makes the evening blissful.

He prepares it with Darjelling Green tea leaves adding cloves,
