Bridal Lehenga : Document Series

I got a call from Neha saying she has an amazing idea for an article for Airports India magazine which publishes some really new and out-of-the-box articles. 

The moment she mentioned about photo-series on The Making of a Bridal Lehenga - it was my dream come true ! 

Documenting has been one of the most interesting genre in photography that I am truly passionate about (Another reason why I love weddings too maybe).

Being able to document the story of what really goes behind creating something that can mean soo much to someone truly excites me. (Many of you might be aware of the Backstage Diaries 'series' shot by me at WIFW 3 times in a row) .. so the love continues.

I have seen my mom keeping her wedding lehenga as treasure. And I know I am going to do the same. Infact, I am going to have a separate space in my home that has little of everything that was a part of my wedding day.

Want to know what goes behind making a bridal lehenga... above all... want to know what really goes in a bride's mind all the while ?

Indian weddings have an altogether magical charm which happens to work magnificently every time a bride walks towards the stage, where her groom waits eagerly with bewitched eyes and a smile.. The glory of the enchanting moment and the glow on the face is at its best as she takes her steps towards a whole new journey..

A blanket of natural flowers held by her brothers adds to the beauty to the beginning of her journey .. and ofcourse which is followed by the pheras - Taaron ki chaon me :)

Wedding Post - Most Popular !

Alright.. So with my blog hitting the count to a 5000 today.. I discovered that the post ranking the highest views is the Mayank & Ruby Wedding ! And with a demand so much for it.. I shall post a few more pictures on the Blog as a separate post. Initially I had very limited view with the help of Facebook Privacy i.e. sharing my album with family only. But I guess with a post that is being liked so much, I really should post a few more here on the Blog. :)

I am really happy with the moments I have been able to capture at my brother's wedding. I would never make a mistake of coming back home before the Vidaai !

Mayank & Ruby- Engagement

My brother was getting married.. And yes... I confess..! I was absolutely dying to shoot a wedding and this was my best chance to do so !

I never realized how much I have been blessed to have a fun family like this.. ! Fun crazy people.. dancing and being there for each other with just about everything.

Indian wedding are full of colors, laughter, emotions and surprises.. !
Weddings don't just bring two people together... but two families together .. ! For us.. It had been an special time to meet the cousins..most of whom I met for the first time.. And it was absolutely fun fun fun !!!

I shot a few pictures at a family wedding recently - The first wedding i ever took my Baby Love at.. and had no clue how to edit them later..

One of my really close friend helped me with it.. ! And I have fallen in love with pictures so much that I am short of words to post here for now.. ! 

But I know I have made this bride wait for long enough.. and she sure has been waiting with equal excitement as she had on her wedding day itself.. so Here I am posting them...
