Binsar - The Beautiful little Heaven




As the holidays are approaching, the families are planning to get out of the usual routine and are set ready to explore! For the travel lovers the place unexplored, yet breath taking beautiful id Binsar. Uttaranchal has so much to serve people of every interest. it is considered as the most beautiful place and hence is favourite among those who want an escape from the boring routine and enjoy with the family to sooth their senses.
There is no town named binsar, not even a settlement of huts or anything, confused? It’s just the forest reserve named binsar. The main attraction here is
the binsar sanctuary which houses rich diversity of flora and fauna with forests of oak and large species of birds along with the wild animals. It is a home to 200 bird species, barking deer, Himalayan bear, leopard, fox, musk deer, langur, porcupine, flying squirrel, chital, jungle cat among many others. With the entry fee of Rs. 40 per person you can enjoy every bit of the nature and a trek of 2kms to the zero point.
Besides the rich wildlife and natural beauty, this place offers wonderful views of the snow-capped Himalayan ranges like the peaks of nanda devi, kedarnath, chaukhamba, trishul choti, panchchuli and nanda kot. The sanctuary itself is at 8000ft above the sea level whereas the village is situated at 5000 ft.
Places to visit within binsar are the famous Golu Devi mandir and paatal bhubneshwar which has near about 70-80 caves. The tourists can go for many mountain activities and enjoy adventure with their family. An early morning trek to the village and river is sure going to give you a cultural bliss. Locals here are extremely warm hearted and welcoming.
Binsar is only 30kms away from almora. The distance from Delhi airport is nearly 390kms. It takes 10 hours by car to reach this amazing place. it is only 50kms ahead of Nainital. the route serves amazing site seeing and view of the wonderful valley. One can even reach binsar by train enjoying the journey with some breath taking views on the way. The nearest station is Katgodam, though it is 100kms distance, the way to it truly serves the eye !
The closeby places are Kosani, almora, ranikhet, ramgharh, bhogali and also lakes like tallital, mallital, bheemtal, saptal and naukuchiya lake.
The climate is amazing throughout the year. It is cold in winters and snow covered from December to February and just cool with rainfall and blissful showers throughout the summer !
